Seattle’s favorite comedy show has found a new home, and it looks a lot like the old one.

Laff Hole, the venerable alt-comedy show that has attracted artists from rapper Humpty Hump to Robin Williams, will return to its most popular venue, Chop Suey, on Wednesday January 28th.

“We’ve hosted the show at three or four different places now,” says Paul Merrill, one of the producers. “But Chop Suey has always been my favorite. It really embraces the alt-rock vibe that Laff Hole is all about. Also, they have fantastic spring rolls.”

The homecoming show will feature the comedy sketch duo Black Daisy, along with Laff Hole founders Kevin Hyder, Emmett Montgomery and Daniel Carroll and a surprise musical guest.

Laff Hole is produced by The Peoples Republic of Komedy (PROK), a tight-knit group of like-minded Seattle comedians.

Since 2005, the group has produced over 200 live shows and is the driving force behind the resurgent Seattle comedy scene. Laff Hole, their flagship production, was voted “Best Comedy Show” by Seattle Magazine. Besides Laff Hole, PROK has also produced comedy stages at Bumbershoot, the Sasquatch Music Festival, Sketchfest, and Portland’s Bridgetown Comedy Festival.

Laff Hole is a monthly showcase of Seattle’s top comics and bands at Chop Suey in Seattle (1325 E Madison St). Showtime is 9pm. Tickets are $7 at the door. For more info go to www.prokomedy.org.
