Since its founding in 2005, Laff Hole has played host to some of the finest up-and-coming comedians in the northwest. During its five year run, local favorites like Reggie Watts, Hari Kondabolu and Rory Scovel have gone on to perform on “Live at Gotham,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.” National headliners like Pete Holmes, Matt Braunger and Robin Williams have dropped by to do guest sets.
The fifth anniversary show, June 2nd at Chop Suey, will be a celebration of all the comics who have shared the Laff Hole stage. The show will be hosted by two of the show’s founders, Kevin Hyder and Emmett Montgomery. The musical guest will be The Pale Pacific and Seattle’s own Jon Keister of “Almost Live!” will be the headliner.

The Bridgetown Comedy Festival (http://www.bridgetowncomedyfestival.com) is shortly arriving and taking over Portland’s famous Hawthorne district for four days of comedic glory. We at Laff Hole are ecstatic to take part and will honor this great festival with a kick-off preview show a day before the festivities.
We are happy to be invaded by some New York’s finest. This will mark the return of two of Seattle’s treasures. James Parkinson, will host the night with his thrilling and rambunctious comedic stylings and Daniel Carroll, PRoK co-founder and drunken genius, will be visiting to give us the comedy set of our lives.
However, that is only the frosting on the cake. John F. O’Donell (http://www.JFODlovesyou.com), David Angelo (http://www.davidangelo.info), Mark Normand (http://www.marknormandcomedy.com), and Sean Patton ( http://www.youtube.com/meseanpatton) are all breaking their Laff Hole cherries on the same night with hilarity beyond human comprehension.
Wait, did we mention the band. Because they are going to cram you’re ear-holes with beautiful melodies. That’s right, Bottle of Bones will be performing to open the show!
Now get yourself a pair of rubber pants (Yeah, you are going to wet them. Amongst other things.) and head on down to Laff Hole this Wednesday, April 21st for the hope and change you are waiting ever so patiently for.

April 7th is the first Wednesday of the month… which means it’s time for another Laff Hole, presented by the People’s Republic of Komedy!
This show is a special one… coming all the way from the land of strip clubs and donuts, The Famous Mysterious Actor Show takes over Laff Hole!
Described by the Portland Comedy Blog as “Portland’s most absurdly awesome live talk show,” FMA is like no show you’ve been to. (Unless you’ve seen FMA already, and even then, probably not.)
It’ll be the weirdest thing you’ll ever want to see twice that doesn’t involve hand lotion and a rewind button.

Oh, but that ain’t all, folks! We’ll also be featuring comedian Rory Scovel.
Mixing his spontaneous creativity and absurd view of the world, Rory Scovel is quickly making a name for himself across North America. Whether discussing drugs, politics, or life in general his infectious stage presence and engaging charisma will quickly shift the vibe of any room and place the audience in the scene of every punchline.

For music, Laff Hole is bringing it with Seattle’s own beloved, space-aged spinner, DJ Barbarella!
Come hang out and let us love you with laughter!

There have been a lot of George W. Bush impersonators over the past eight years. Some good, some bad. But none like the one James Adomian will unleash on the Laff Hole audience this Wednesday night.
Adomian, who makes frequent appearances on Craig Ferguson’s “Late Late Show” and was featured in the film “Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay”, has made a name for himself with his unique take on the President.
Almost entirely improvised, Adomian takes questions from the audience and answers them in the marble-mouthed manner of the commander-in-chief. What makes this impersonation different, however, are the bizarre turns Adomian takes with the character.
The Nebraskan native made waves last spring at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland when, after someone from the crowd asked him about his membership in the “Skull and Crossbones” society at Yale, he began speaking in Latin, which somehow led to him biting the head off a baby (a toy one, luckily) on stage to the mock horror of the audience.
Adomian’s appearance at Laff Hole, the popular weekly comedy show at Seattle’s Re-Bar, will feature the comedian playing a number of different characters, including some equally strange takes on everyone from John McCain to Gary Busey.
The show, produced by the People’s Republic of Komedy, will also include local comedians Derek Sheen, Emmett Montgomery and Paul Merrill.
