Actress and comedian Mary Lynn Rajskub will headline an all-star comedy show Sunday September 6th at Chop Suey.
UPDATE: Due to a filming conflict with 24, Mary Lynn Rajskub will NOT be at the Bumbershoot after-party show. We will, however, be featuring a lot of great national comedians in town for Bumbershoot, so be sure to stop by!
Produced by the People’s Republic of Komedy (PROK), the third annual “Bumbershoot Comedy After-Party” will feature some of America’s top comedians, who will be in town for Bumbershoot, the annual music and arts festival.
The Third Annual Bumbershoot Comedy After-Party is on Sunday September 6th at Chop Suey, 1325 E Madison St. Doors open at 9pm / Showtime is 10pm. Tickets are $7 at the door. For more ticket information, call (206) 324-8000 or go to www.prokomedy.org.

The Peoples Republic of Komedy (PROK) is producing the Northwest comedy stage at Bumberhoot this year, and by all accounts it may be the best line-up yet.
Taking over the Vera Stage, PROK will be showcasing some of their top shows, including local favorites Laff Hole and Lo-Ball, along with their new additions from New York (Sweet Haven) and Los Angeles (Hub-Bub). For a complete listing of comedians, go to www.bumbershoot.org and browse the Comedy West stage.
This weekend, some of the best comedians in America are coming to Bumbershoot. Since the festival has dropped Friday from their schedule, however, many of the comics are coming in early and doing shows elsewhere, like at Lo-Ball, the Local Ballard Comedy Show, this Friday at 11pm.
Due to non-compete clauses in their contracts, none of the artists performing at Bumbershoot can advertise other shows they are doing in town. We can, however, tell you that several national acts are scheduled to drop by Lo-Ball and perform in the intimate confines of Live Girls! Theater. (Due to the low seating capacity of the theater, we suggest people show up early to get a seat.)
For more information, go to www.ballardcomedy.com or www.prokomedy.org., and be sure to catch our comedy stage at Bumbershoot this year at the Vera Project.
